Materials: none
Time: each student turn should last no longer than 5 minutes

This is a popular discussion topic and involves students talking about themselves.
Each student must choose 3 objects they would want to take to the desert island with them. They can take one kind of food, one book and one CD.

Tell the students they are going to live on a desert island for a year. What would be good and bad about it?

Tell them they are going to be on their own and can choose one kind of food, one book and one CD. They also need to give reasons for their choices.

Then ask one student at a time to tell the class about their 3 things and why they have chosen them. The rest of the class can then ask questions.
