Viv Lambert

I studied French, German and Linguistics at Reading University in the UK before getting an RSA Diploma in TEFL and teaching experience in Europe and South East Asia. After several years travelling and teaching English, I returned to the UK to work in the publishing industry where I worked in house editing and commissioning children’s books and Primary EFL materials. I now work from home near Oxford as a freelance editor and author specialising in Primary ELT materials as well as teaching French at my local Primary School and being involved in teacher training in Oxford. I have written and co-written various primary courses including Mighty Movers and Fantastic Flyers for Delta.

I have two young children and take an active part in their primary school activities. Other hobbies include tennis, running, travel and languages, and I am currently learning Spanish at evening classes.

Cheryl Pelteret

I have been involved in language teaching for the past 30 years – as a teacher, editor and writer. After completing my degree at the University of Cape Town, I moved from teaching English as a first and second language, to EFL – first in the UK and then in Turkey, where I taught students of all ages and levels. On my return to the UK I taught at a language school and obtained my RSA Diploma in TEFL. I then entered the publishing industry as an ELT editor. Since becoming a freelance writer some 15 years ago, I have written several course books and a range of supplementary materials for  adults, teenagers and young learners. I enjoy writing skills material, and have a particular interest in improving students’ speaking skills through interesting, relevant and fun activities. I recently obtained my Post-graduate Certificate in Teaching ESOL at the Institute of Education, London, and divide my time between writing
and teaching ESOL – the perfect balance!
