FCE Interactive is a fully interactive CD-ROM providing a wealth of easy-to-use practice material to help students prepare for – and succeed in – the Cambridge ESOL FCE exam.
There are four sections, each covering one paper from the First Certificate Exam. The speaking paper is not covered.
Hint and tips are available, along with instant constructive feedback on most exercises. Each section contains the following:

- Exam exercises, which are similar to the tasks in the exam
- Instant feedback on the exercises highlighting where mistakes have been made and why
- Hints and tips to help with the exercises and exam technique
FCE Interactive is appropriate for students of all ages and levels, and it is fully flexible in that it can be used to practice areas of difficulty or worked through alone.
Installation and Specification:
- a PC running Windows 95,98, 2000 or NT
- a sound card with speakers or headphones
- set your screen resolution to 800 x 600 at least
To take advantage of the online dictionary support, you need an internet connection and Internet Explorer 4 or 5.
Reviews
I would certainly recommend this program for students and schools trying to add something extra to their FCE preparation classes.

Overall I was very impressed with FCE Interactive. Moving around is extremely easy, and although designed for self-access, it could just as well be used with small groups working around a single computer screen or larger ones where a data projector is available.
