I have been an English language teacher and teacher trainer for over 20 years and, in the course of this, have been lucky enough to have lived and worked in various countries around the world including the UK, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, France and Palestine. My principal interests are teacher development and writing materials. I have published a number of grammar books but I particularly enjoy working on developing study skill for both adults and younger learners. Until recently I was working in the British Council, Paris helping to develop its adult teaching department and was also involved in trainer-training teachers of IELTS in various French institutions. At the moment, I am taking a sabbatical to concentrate more on my writing projects.
